1.6.2017: Wanted to make an overdue commemorative drawing for one of the few dudes I spent my teenage years with. He broke his Rusty Cage. I guess it was an accident. Thanks for Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, Down On The Upside (and a few of the 80s ones I only got to in my later years), some imports, one gig, two teeshirts (one Soundgarden, one Moby), lotsa VHS-taped things from MTV.

10.5.2017: Something I would subscribe to immediately! Best read after The Wire for sure.

5.1.2017: I never google myself, because I'm afraid what I might find — perhaps people have figured out I'm a cyborg and are ripping up my legacy as we speak! Fat chance. Out on a whim I typed my own name with my heart racing, and found all kinds of glorious images I had forgotten about! Here's one of them. If I remember correctly this was for a story about youngish people in Finland all having the same shit cluttering their apartments. "Where's the Vetements DHL shirt man?!" You scream now. But this was really done a while ago, so don't slander me if you think my squiggling looks dead unhip.

15.12.2016: Hello believers. Here's an old cover design I did for a Ruud Van Klujsterfuck monograph — exhumed recently from the attic. As we know, Ruud's a retired footballer from Galatasaray as well as a Mike Mills Nudie suit connoisseur — not to mention an all-round lover of life. Enjoy!

12.11.2016: I did these illustrations for a small wine book, around five years ago. There's a semi-good bitmap jam going on in here I reckon.

7.11.2016: Did a simple illustrations for GQ about negotiating! What strings to pull be it a carpet you're buying from a bedouin or trying to get your kid to go to bed. Yeah!

2.5.2016: Check out Mr. Generic Plumber and Mr. Stock Hipster, both wearing Dickies! Peace.

23.3.2016: Here's a couple I did for Torontonian mag The Grid a few years back!

29.2.2016: I was rummaging amidst the cobwebs in the attic of my Macbook, and came across a few old illus from back in the day that made me laff. First one is is a self-portrait titled "The Artist In 1999"…

…And the second one is a template for starting an angry phonecall.

12.2.2016: Hey! I cranked out some dorky fan art for Friday's sake! Carcass, Sepultura, Tool and Grant Lee Buffalo coming up too, I believe.

15.12.2015: The house-band that didn't make the cut! I love them though, what an eclectic mötley bunch of fatsos. Perfect.

1.12.2015: Check out a few I squiggled for the french future-sniffin' magazine Usbek & Rica. Vive La France. ♥

11.5.2015: Here's a simple full-page drawing I did for the Finnish mag called Image. This is about youngsters in the days of vintage so-me, 2005 or so, spilling their hearts out in the net, and later in life regretting for being so excessively emo in public. The web never forgets, innit.

29.3.2015: An undisclosed recipient ordered this illustration about a man's mind being divided amongst different thoughts and emotions. Sadly the job it didn't work out, but it was cool!

29.3.2015: Indeed, here is a small comic I drew for Lexus the car brand — about driving their RX model. Thanks to Winkreative for having me!

12.2.2015: Those snakey hips! W.A.R.

30.1.2015: This infographic I did for Mens Health about bowel action has been really popular, I think because them Canadian bros did such a great job in the direction & animation front and made it move. Fart gag haters look away! As old Mozfather sings on one of his b-sides.

1.12.2014: "Christ, what's this now?!" I hear somebody shrieking already. Well, it's a scan of an illustration I did for a book about Helsinki…maybe five or six years ago? I was supposed to pick some nice thing about Finland's capital. I chose water. Just lookit those skeletons taking over my ship! Seems like one of them is wearing a Carhartt watch hat.

17.11.2014: Some new stuff from monsieur CCT!

30.10.2014: Hooray for taking it easy!

29.10.2014: Sketch for a "buy nothing" drawing.

22.10.2014: Yes! It's Nice That kindly asked me to send over some art I did when a little dude, and they picked this silly comic story from 1988 to publish. This is part of their "Back To School" series. Thanks again, I.N.T.! Please check out the thing as well as an interview here.

21.10.2014: From the bottom section of The Barrel®, I came across some old images from the year 2009. They were done for that great Finnish pop culture monolith Image Magazine. I reckon this newsblog needs some more texture! And here goes.

15.10.2014: Now this is swell — I got featured in Tres Bien's blog! Just noticed it, four months late. Find the original in The Daileys! From 2012, I believe.

6.10.2014: Glad to present some archive nuggets! This time it's a guide about different ways to trim that facial fuzz. Done for a Finnish men's cult magazine called Veli (that means Bruh, approx.), that lived for a few years in mid-to-late noughties.

2.10.2014: Tuff to decide!

11.9.2014: A rude awakening if there ever was one!

11.9.2014: I got featured in IDN magazine along with some real good peeps…Answered questions about my motives too. Swell.

11.8.2014: What I did in June is I did a cover drawing for a money magazine — about the rich list of Finland.

9.6.2014: Look! Printed Pages, Spring 2014, featuring my 16-page comic about… a lot of things. Read it now if you get your mitz on it! Many many thanks to I.N.T. and P.P. for championing my art again.

3.6.2014: The man has hibernated for four months again! Pretty something.

14.2.2014: Some dude feeling comfortable in a polycotton yard suit.

2.2.2014: Nineteen-ninety-seven and loving every minute of it!

24.1.2014: The lack of recent blog entries here is repulsive. To do something about that, here's one funny thing from last year — a magazine illustration about my arch nemesis… The Taxman!

12.12.2013: Glad to be part of this new mag by Braulio Amado!

3.12.2013: Here's a couple of barrel-scrapings from 11 years back, the so-called Paris Era ® to my archivists. The colored one was a published spread in WAD magazine in 2002, the others just some zeitgeist pieces about monkeys buying 400 euro deadstock sneakers from Tokyoite.

1.9.2013: Adventures in The Dressing-up Box.

22.8.2013: Just a guy positioned in the jungle and dressed accordingly.

21.8.2013: Just a guy in an awesome khaki desert suit.

7.8.2013: What to do in Vegas if you're broke? For the Finnish magazine Raymond.

8.5.2013: Zbigniew's hooked on painkillers and vodka.

7.5.2013: Zbigniew in a pensive mood.

2.5.2013: Sittin' Around.

2.5.2013: Autistic Love, Pt. 1.

29.4.2013: File Under: Thoughts Of Today.

28.4.2013: File under: Thoughts Of Today. Blue and silver ink on Hahnemüle.

27.4.2013: Something that's on a man's mind sometimes.

7.3.2013: Tough Nut 1 — A problem I've discussed with my best buddy: Good lifestyles, bad lifestyles, all the same, so don't judge.

12.2.2013: Stretch a bit every now and then! Picture for a Finnish gambling magazine.

29.1.2013: L'Heure H mag — These french cats at Agency H round Paris asked me to do a one-spread illustration about myself and my career as an illustrator for this french industry paper. It's like size A1 or something! No seriously, I just got it in the mail yesterday. I made sure some of my favourite brands like Abtyss beer, Psychic Audio amps and Burger geetars and basses were present. OK the length of beard and hair is slightly exaggerated, but what the fuck, give man some rope. Always had a soft spot for frenchies anyways after hooliganing there for three years and copping a wife too (albeit swedish one).

26.1.2013: HATEFUCKEMBRYO — the best band from '93 that never made it!

31.12.2012: Oh yeah, and definetely happy 2013 to all the true followers! Inspired by 2nd Snap Magazine #2.

16.12.2012: If everybody was all well-equipped, popular and shit, then what would you do when there was nobody left to ostracize? Is my question of the day.

15.12.2012: Two Staples Center courtside tickets for me and Pastor, preferably next to Antwan. Or a satellite dish with TNT on it (a new TV be good too for that matter)!

7.12.2012: My forte is drawing people drinking beer and sleeping in airplanes which is weird as I'm not such a globetrotter myself — I mostly just fly from Copenhagen to Helsinki and back.

29.11.2012: Here's a logo I did that borrows Steven Adler's face a bit — it got denied, as sometimes happens when a guy don't stick to the brief, but if you have a (real fucking nice) stoner doom band, I'm willing to let him go for a few rotten clams.

19.11.2012: Some Monday pictures — Tired Marcus going through his 6500 LP metal collection, at the record store, a fat bystander and more.

17.11.2012: Pictures of my favorite pastimes brainfarted onto paper on this fine Souf Sweden Saturday! Cheers to E & S!

14.11.2012: I'm happy to announce Your copy of the 91th ADC Annual is ready for pre-order. I did the cover and inside illustrations for that book, and I'm real glad DDB asked me to do 'em!

14.11.2012: United States Black Metal Wednesday, that's the day that just went.

14.11.2012: Tired Marcus, a guy with black eyes, chapped lips like nobody's business, gets two times more done!

14.11.2012: Goodbye 2 cabin: when nuff's nuff, leave the hippies jamming and go. Your work here is done so to say.

3.11.2012: Inspired by the genuine setting, the dudes cut an entire session later to be pressed on double vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket with a nice pop-up designed by ye.

2.11.2012: A nice set of vintage keys don't go unappreciated!

1.11.2012: By melt snow, if you and cabin are still in good terms, ye might wanna invite some hippies round to jam. Please provide vintage equipment and atmosphere.

1.11.2012: If the cabin turns out A-OK and not a depressing exhibit of willpower not talent, then ye might as well stay til the snow melts. Ye have ye Campbell's soups in the pantry, and maybe some japanese printed material, and time will fly. If the 24-point antler chandelier dont work out, then don't let it bring ye down.

1.11.2012: Building a cabin, a good cabin with internet connection and nice rugs on the wall, not some nightmare out of Caribou Island thank you. Should the plan backfire, finding a cave with exhaustion hole so man can burn a fire.

31.10.2012: Continuing by foot!

30.10.2012: Just a guy, a motorcyko, a blanket and some stars, good to go.

26.10.2012: I have a brand new daughter, so I'm skipping work, and instead have produced a ballpoint and drawing block to make ugly doodles while not changing nappies or watching Holby City in a recliner.

25.9.2012: A couple o'guys, minus the other guy, yesterday. I did some research for a mascot in the spring, but the sessions were scrapped. Fun nonetheless!

2.9.2012: In January I was asked to do a postcard for Helsinki World Design Capital celebrations about my favorite spot in town…Granted my entries were 100% unsexy but hopefully somebody will get a kick out of the nice waterfronts in 3 directions of that fair city I've since left behind.

26.8.2012: Dude's been just about my favourite geetar player since the endless coke soloing on Second Coming. Next up: Brownie doing his infamous 2012 live rap.

25.8.2012: I did a cover for this little commemorative coffee table book Cesar C.T. put together to celebrate my nearly half a decade (!) as an ubiquitous entrepreneur.

11.8.2012: This little comic about speaking japanese belongs under different moniker alltogether, but I'm chucking it here because I really dig it. For a Finnish magazine.

10.8.2012: Some tweed trousers…

10.8.2012: The Backpacking Wizard's looking for some cheap flights!

6.8.2012: At Rue de Sevigny… I walked right past a nice fat pile of Face magazines from mid-90s, and picked up this nifty french magazine about street fighting instead! A page-turner.

25.7.2012: The Hollywood Reporter came knocking, and asked for an illustration about TV censorship! My reply was this simple yet striking image of the "ass-police", the good ol' moral authority who knows exactly what kinda entertainment you can handle sir. Thanks THR!

30.5.2012: A picture of a certain popular festival in Helsinki… For a magazine.

29.5.2012: Some Tinto De Verano for the thirsty man in sun.

23.5.2012: I did a set of portraits for a pitch project some time ago — here you have'em! This was a hoot, especially cos making serious portraits is kind of unknown waters for me. But luckily everybody agreed they turned out pretty nice!

16.5.2012: Here's Little Steven, Bruce and Clarence (RIP) — For a Finnish magazine.

23.4.2012: I'm really antsy about showing off my yet-unpublished comic story of love, loss and workwear. It's for Agent Pekka's Amsterdam office's opening exhibition in May! Here I'm posting five more frames… Yowza!
-
Edit! The whole story comes in the shape of an A1 framed art print!

10.9.2012: Here's a picture I found — I did this for Wired magazine's UK version last September. Headline went on top of the flame and the article sat in the firehose frame down there. The drawing's about building ya own flame thrower and having a ball with it! Fun as Wired commisions always are.

6.4.2012: Oh, them summer memories. Here's me and my best friend Bipolar Pastor attending one of HJK Helsinki games at Sonera Stadium last summer. The disc jock was playing Dandy Warhols and Black Lips between half-times which was nice and maybe unexpected. Pastor had free tickets to all the games, and we attended as many as we could.

5.4.2012: If you're one of the four people who's heard me talk, you might've been subject to bitching about lack of internet kudos towards yers truly ugric narcissus here. Well, those days are over! Thanks to "It's Nice That" — they nailed me better I ever coulda. Much appreciated!

4.4.2012: Art joy: Oui oui, motherfudgers! And all you pay-per-view punks! Let's get ready to rumble… Oh heck, this isn't a GN'R gig in Paris in '92, here's just a "sneak-peak" of my comic story (I couldn't resist posting) that I did especially for Agent Pekka's Amsterdam office's opening party. It's a great story I'm telling you, you gotta be at Guns & Butter gallery on 4th of May to read it! I'm tackling love and death, time travelling and vintage flannel shirts and Timberlands, and there's a cameo from yours truly, too. Plus lovely hippie women.

18.3.2012: I did some drawings for Pelago bicycles about a year ago, here's one of them!

2.3.2012: Friday Style Glimpse: Sucker Punch is a formerly extinct American luggage brand revived by garment archivalist Cesar Chetwynd-Talbot exclusively for Japanese market.

22.2.2012: I love a good multitasking fashion editor on his way to Pitti Uomo or something or other! So much I do I wanted to put together my own editor guy. He is wearing an (imaginary) Eddie Bauer down shawl collar hunting vest, a plum RRL chamois shirt, tatts by Smith Street, a vintage ladies hat, Levi 501's, a zillion wristbands, an anklekerchief, Red Wing oxfords, a Visvim backpack and the omnipresent iPhone, pouch, brochure whatnot and a fag.

15.2.2012: I did these two drawings for my friend Jeezy today, and thought they were just too damn OK to leave unposted! Happy belated Valentine's Day.

12.1.2012: Happy New Year! So far it's all muddy and no snow. In December I made this kind of calender for Agent Pekka, Design Forum Finland and We Are Helsinki Magazine. Alledgely she looks good in person, too… Also, the profits will be donated to the Finnish Central Association for Mental Health so that's nice. I need to get myself a copy or two so I can start scheduling my life. Edit: Oh yeah, the size's A2.

8.12.2011: Usually, that's the way it goes, but every once in a while, it goes the other way too.

1.12.2011: I just drew a how-to comic that'll come in handy when visiting visit a tailor in Thailand. For a Finnish travel magazine.

20.11.2011: I have so much work again it's coming out of my ears — which is good! As an attempt of stress management I took a good ol' jog in the woods, ate some figs and drew this homage to an iconic piece of cali-running.

7.11.2011: It's no secret I love southern rock and comic books. So what the fudge — let's combine them two subjects! A story of brotherhood on the road! The Big Member tour California in the 70's, my favorite period of time. It's about time I get to the game of online comics, so hopefully more to follow soon! Meanwhile, let's check out the cover image of Jackson, Steevy Steev and Rob Richardson cutting some well-deserved slack.

31.10.2011: Here's a new version of His N' Hers I did recently for a nice dude in Iowa. It's out soon!

9.10.2011: I live on a farm nowadays, in South Sweden.

My farm was built by a dane in early 1700s. It had a basement built back in 1960s, eventually causing the whole house lean some 15 degrees to the right side. The roof looks all skewed and funny! Also, none of the closet doors tend to stay closed, which causes sudden ghostly sounds when you least expect them. For example when you're getting some shut eye.

There's a memorial plate outside the entrance to the ranch, notifying the swedes there's been dudes lamping on this very site since stone age. I would get me a proper metal detector, but apparently them devices are prohibited unless you're some sort of authority or tomb raider.

Luckily I stumbled upon this knackered illustrated paper back here on the local Lions Club garage sale, just barely opened it yet but can already tell it's a page-turner. This thing, the local used vinyl shop and setting up an allotment for spring will keep me busy.

9.10.2011: So sorry to hear about passing of bass hero Mikey W today.

5.9.2011: Here's an illustration I did recently for a magazine about roof tiling!

5.8.2011: I bought a very minty original copy of UltraMega OK today! Yeah I know it ain't worth a buck, but is a very satisfying rawk disc AND ALSO prompted me to draw this pic of Kim Thayil fingering his SG at Helsinki Ice Hall back in 1996 (or 97?).

30.7.2011: I did a rather large poster for a Finnish cinema chain — I need to figure out how to make it look good on this format, but meanwhile here's Arnie, Torrance and son + The Iceman talking to a stranger…

28.7.2011: The Pink Bird…

13.7.2011: Just an anonymous "thanks!"

11.7.2011: A Cry For Tech Help.

11.7.2011: I've been thinking about things in urban environment that trouble a man's mind. I'm putting them together in a poster book, and there's one for each alphabet. Man, am I excited about this! Here's something for the test audience.

1.7.2011: A skull and brain i doodled for a magazine.

27.5.2011: Here's a cover design and drawing for CCT's debut novel published on Rugged Mutant Bone.
